Laptop Acer Travelmate 250 belum tersedia wifi. Pasang wifi PCMCIA CardBus merek Fulbond model XG-350.
Install paket pcmciautils
PCMCIA memerlukan paket pcmciautils. Masukkan IGN2009 DVD Installer. DVD otomatis akan di mount ke /media/IGN2009 lalu jalankan:
# yum install -y --enablerepo=ign2009-media pcmciautils
Jika install dari LiveCD dan tidak punya IGN2009 DVD Installer maka harus memakai rpm dari repositori, ada di: http://repo.igos-nusantara.or.id/2009/all/pcmciautils-015-2.i586.rpm unduh (download) file tsb pakai komputer lain, simpan ke USB Flash, kemudian:
# rpm -ivh pcmciautils-015-2.i586.rpm
Jalankan pcmciautils
Matikan PCMCIA Card
# pccardctl eject
Aktifkan PCMCIA Card
# pccardctl insert
Lihat daftar PCMCIA device
# pccardctl ls
Lihat informasi PCMCIA Card
# pccardctl info
Lihat status PCMCIA Card
# pccardctl status
Periksa NetworkManager
Klik icon NetworkManager, lihat apakah WiFi telah aktif.
