Sesuaikan /etc/squid/squid.conf, sebelum melakukan perubahan, sebaiknya file squid.conf disalin agar ada cadangan.

Paket squid yang ada IGOS Nusantara 2010 (IGN2010) memiliki berkas squid.conf yang ringkas. Konfigurasi default sudah sesuai dan langsung dapat dipakai tanpa perlu diubah lagi.

Buat cache

Jalankan squid

Masukkan service squid

Konfigurasi browser di komputer client

Jalankan browser (misal) dari PC Client 4. Untuk memakai proxy, ubah konfigurasi browser agar memakai proxy server 192.168.0.1 dan port 3128

Periksa log

# tail -f /var/log/squid/access.log

Jalankan browser dari komputer klien lalu akses situs. Di server perhatikan log yang muncul, tekan Ctrl + C jika sudah selesai melihat akses.log.
